Love for my weakness & His strength!

Goodness, a month went by really quickly! Last time I updated y'all on life I was approaching my rheumatologist appointment to see if my arm has anything related to an autoimmune disease.
In the meantime (that month I've been absent) I've found myself withdrawing from blogging, facebook and pinterest which tend to take up a good portion of my evening when I get home from work. Main reasons, honestly, I didn't want to post things acting like everything was okay. At the same time I just wasn't quite ready to share all the in and outs of what I was going through. Instead, I've found a lot of peace and reassurance from God through more praying, my girls/couple bible studies, mediation and clearing of my mind. I don't want to sound like every single day I've been a strong rock; there's been some really tough days in the month. Some days, doubt and unbelief comes to the forefront of my mind. But by praying to Him, who I can depend on more than anything, has constantly reminded me  I'm His. He'll be there with me for ALL of my joy, excitement, doubt and tough times.
Now to give Him all the praise and glory that's rightfully His: I had my rheumatologist on March 2nd. Praise God it is nothing related to an autoimmune disease. The blood tests came back negative for anything related to that. So, now why did my muscle move or disintegrate? I don't know why, and neither do any of the specialist I've seen, yet. What's next? I have an appointment with an orthopedic doctor in a month from now. The appt is farther out than I'd hope for, but it's with the Indians doctor, so it's more reassuring I'm going to the best in the city. It's worth the wait. Plus, it strength, patients and trust in Jesus. The ortho doc will most likely order an MRI, so he can see what's going on. I'm praying we'll get an answer :)
Things could be a whole lot worse; so I think Liz why are you stressing over something so minor? Well, my biggest fears and worries come from not having things planned out, unknowns and uncontrolled situations. So this is exactly the type of situation I needed, to fully lean on my Lord and trust in His plan.
When I look back over the past couple months, what I've learned and what it comes down to is overcoming my weaknesses, worries and fears through His strength, courage and faithfulness.
Last thing, I want to brag on Eric. He has been the most encouraging, patient, loving and tender man. Anyone being there day in and day out, and being there for this ball of emotions should get a big hug ;) Thanks baby for being my rock and reminding God's got it ALL in His hands. And thanks to you guys for reading my thoughts. I finally pushed myself to write it out and get it all out there.
Many blessing for you on this lovely spring weekend!

Isaiah 41: 10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Love for the weekends!

Boy am I glad it's the weekend! Not only for rest, but for the fact that we have only a few plans! This past week I feel like I didn't stop; something going on every night after work. Plans for the weekend are to relax (with a little cleaning, coffee date, lunch date & church)
While I've been absent from posting on here I did find out some good news about my arm. It turns out it's nothing nerve or muscle damage related (they confirmed that from the tests last Friday)! Hallelujah & praise God! I've had to trust in Him more than ever, and it's actually an awesome feeling. Yes it's scary to not know what's wrong with me and doubts come into mind, but ultimately I've grown so much closer to my Father in Heaven:) I'll continue to update you on what's going on. I have an appointment with a rheumatologist (to see if I could possibly have something like connective tissue disease or anything) and then an orthopedic doc to see if I need surgery, etc. Right now we're praying that it's not anything related to an autoimmune disease!

I hope you all have a fabulous & restful weekend!

Love for Smoothie Cups!

We had a beautiful weekend (both the weather and time with friends/each other). One of the fun things we did this weekend experience the westside market on Saturday morning for the first time after a sweet brunch together, here. We snatched up tons of fresh fruit, but since we got so much I have no doubt it will go bad before we can finish it all. SO an option for me is to wash, dry and blend half of the fruit into one of my shake mixes, immediately. Then follow the steps here to save me time in the future. By doing this you'll be using your fresh fruit so it doesn't spoil and saving many steps all week long). I love time savers, who doesn't? Post work-outs I want something easy and simple. Same with early morning breakfast. Cereal is easy but not always the most nutritious, so here's a fabulous alternative. (click on the picture below)

Love for Halloween!

Boo! I'm back...I took a mini-hiatus from the blog as we took a quick trip to San Diego, dining and hanging with sweet friends, and praising Jesus with Phil Wickham at our new church this past weekend. And not to mention moving, unpacking and organizing (almost finished) in the mix of all that! But I'm enjoying every minute. Unfortunately we didn't dress up this year for any parties or events, but we plan make something very festive tonight and snuggle up on the couch to watch something scary (maybe have a little candied pecans as our sweet treat :) ) Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoy Halloween night!
I wanted to leave you with a little useful info for you before you go snackin on your kids left-over candy or your candy left-over for passing out to kids in your neighborhood.
I was reading my Oxygen magazine during one of our flights and thought it was a great way to view what you eat :) Here are a few popular candies, their calories and minutes walking it would take to burn them off!
Smarties (1 roll); 25; 7 min
Hershey's miniature (1 bar); 42; 11 min
Blow Pop; 60; 15 min
Snickers (fun size); 72; 18 min
Milk chocolate M&M's  (fun size); 90; 23 min
Brack's Candy Corn (22 pieces); 165; 41 min
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (2 cups); 210; 53 min.
*based on a 130-pound woman walking 3.0 mph
Doesn't mean you shouldn't eat the candy, just know how much your eating :)

New Look

We had a great weekend full of fun and rest. Eric was sick and out of the office all last week. So it was great to have a relaxing weekend. I thank God for restful weekends like this past one. Now is a new week and I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. I've been anticipating my hair appointment for quite some time. I'm going with a new look. Bangs. Never done this one, a little risky for me but I'm gonna do it. I guess you could say I'm going with the whole Kate Hudson look! I'm excited :)
